This trending look is all about the muted
metallic, mixing in a calm sophisticated way.
Last year, strong, bold copper took the high street by storm, but this
year we’ll see blush, muted copper mixing with calming golds. This look is all about
mixing metallics and harmoniously integrating with the interior design as trend
metallics as a focal pointEvery
room needs a focal point and within the bathroom which has to be the statement
bath. Why not get ahead of the rest with a brushed copper or gold bathtub. Offset it with a muted blush pink or grey
colour scheme to create a calming look.
Here is an example of the overall trend,
with blush pinks and light grey walls adding a softer approach to golds and
copper propping. Here mixing metallics in a subtle way can be seen with the
tile choice complementing the metallic propping.
accent in the home
kitchens it’s not just the accessories which hint metallics. The big trend
coming through uses metallic splashbacks which we will see more of in
2017. It’s a bold look we’ve seen in
bespoke kitchens, but look out for some new year contenders who are getting in
on the action with more affordable versions! If large statement metallics are too much for your
sense of style why not try simple accessories of the mixed muted metallic
trend? A subtle way to add metallics to your home is by adding metals to parts
of the room always left until last for decorating, such as curtain poles. See
how these muted metals work together in complementary tones, work these across

Hi Joel Young here, the CGI Stylist at Set Vision and welcome to our next VLog entry!
month I’ve been looking at muted pastel hues which are
set to be seen in different trends across the world of interior design
for 2017, including the Terracotta and Desert Escape trends. These muted
pastel hues are great because they have a
natural base which allows them to work as a collective or as a basis
with a diverse
pop colour. Why not grab a brew and a biscuit, sit back and relax and enjoy our latest VLog!

we’re delivering incredibly emotive imagery using our Pix technology, CGI has
never looked so real, so lifestyle, so daylight.
Pix can also offer tremendous logistical benefits over traditional

Set Visions’ latest styling challenge
was a festive treat from Ideal Standard UK. Having worked closely with
them on several large interior CGI projects recently, we were asked if we would
style the Armitage factory for this annual Christmas card. The brief was a
Nordic theme but with the classic pointy ears and red boots! One of our intrepid Interior Stylist spent the
morning turning the industrial factory into a winter wonderland, with fairy
lights, stars, and a twinkle in his eye. This has certainly got us into the
holiday spirit and with Christmas Jumper Day looming we’re
itching to take some Elfies!

We've been championing the Mixed Materials Trend during 2016
in a lot of our Kitchen images and we believe this trend will only grow in
strength during 2017. By
bringing natural materials into our home we add a connection to a lifestyle
that celebrates and embraces nature and its unique imperfections. Below are some of our favourite
Surface design that
The Stone Blue facia utilises the latest technology in surface
design. The textured surface of the wood grain effect makes it a great solid wood replica
with all the benefits of a laminate. This has been layered with tonal marble
and cool greys for an elegant and refined look.
By using the textured Walnut facia in the industrial style kitchen,
warmth has been added to the palette. The tactile mix of textured Walnut, embossed
tin wall tiles with textured slate lends personality to the clutter free
and unifying the look
The skylight in the Oak Shaker kitchen is divided by textured
wooden beams and exposed sandstone, creating contrasts with the slick finish of
the painted plaster. What we choose to expose and hide creates an interesting
commentary for any contemporary kitchen.
Mixing materials doesn’t always require contrasting textures. The
matt doors, matt walls and semi-matt floor tiles combine the same texture but
still allow to stand out in the kitchen. The use of one grey hue ties the look
